Last seen in kapamilya shows like Starla and The Killer Bride, actor Neil Coleta shared how happy he was to finally be back on ABS-CBN via the upcoming fantasy series Darna.

Pero ibang klase yung gagawin ko dito so sobrang nakaka-excite and happy din at the same time dahil after ilang years nakabalik ako sa kapamilya network na nakapag-taping ako sa one of the inaabangan ng mga tao which is yung Darna,” he shared during an interview with PUSH.

While working on the set of Darna, Neil said he enjoyed working with the series stars Joshua Garcia and Jane De Leon.

“Nakaka-miss.

“Wish ko sana siyempre sa kapamilya bumalik na tayo sa ere and at the same time, madami silang dapat abangan na mga bagong teleserye at series. So sana maging okay na lahat at matapos na itong pandemic,” he said

During the pandemic, Neil admitted he did his best to remain optimistic despite the struggle of being in the entertainment industry during the past three years.

“Malungkot na nga yung mga tao, ida-down mo pa yung sarili mo, walang mangyayari.  Mas maganda yung i-cheer up mo sarili mo. Think positive. Nalalagpasan yan. Ganun tayong mga Pinoy,” he explained.

In order to earn a living, Neil shared what businesses he got into while the country was in lockdown.

Sinubukan ko lahat kasi walang arti-artista at that time eh. Lalo ako may binubuhay akong pamilya. Kaya kailangan gumawa ako ng paraan.

“Walang showbiz, walang taping so gawa ka ng paraan. So napaikot ko naman. Kailangan eh. Sa akin naman, nag-e-enjoy ako and at the same time nagkakapera ako and may nakakain kami sa araw-araw,” he admitted.

Even with the ease of restrictions in the country, Neil said he continues to sell food products for a more steady source of income and revealed some of his friends in showbiz are also his supportive clients.

Coleta’s liquor store sa Dasmarinas, Cavite,” he added.

Last September 2021, Neil and his partner Chin Kee welcomed their baby daughter Jazmin into the world.
