Various celebrities have cast their votes on the national election day on Monday, May 9.
Celebrity couple Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez voted together on Monday.
"Bumoto na po. God bless the Philippines. @reginevalcasid," Ogie posted on his Instagram page.
Meanwhile, Richard Juan woke up as early as 5 a.m. to line up at his voter's precinct in Parañaque City.
"Woke up at 5 am to be one of the early voters here at Parañaque…hence my jwu look #Halalan2022," he wrote.
He added, "As a night person, I still can’t believe I woke up at 5 am with ease kanina to be one of the first voters here at my precinct!"
Jasmine Curtis Smith also voted early on Monday.
She shared, "Done and dusted. Basta ako, I #VoteForChildren Take care today, spread the love, be involved in anyway you can in our communities. Whether loud and big or small and quietly."
JC Alcantara was also spotted voting in Makati.
"JC Alcantara to cast his vote in Francisco Benitez school in Makati," ABS-CBN News reported Ganiel Krishnan shared on her Twitter page.
It's Showtime host Kim Chiu also cast her votes and reminded her followers to exercise their voting rights wisely.
"Done voting. Did my part as a Filipino Citizen. Voting is the most precious right of every Filipino. Exercise it wisely. Kung ano man po ang desisyon nyo ngayon. Isipin po natin pang 6 years po ito ng buhay ng bawat Pilipino," Kim shared.
Meanwhile, Jodi Sta. Maria remarked that she felt emotional when she cast her vote.
"Felt so emotional kanina while filling out my ballot. Nag-ingat ng husto sa pagmarka dahil baka hindi mabasa ng machine. Nung nabasa na ng machine, lumabas ang resibo, napasobra ang lagay ng ink sa daliri ko halos napaiyak ako (dahil mahapdi rin siguro dahil sa kakakutkot ko ng index finger ko bago bumoto Election anxiety perhaps?)," she shared.
"Vote wisely, Pilipinas! Sa boto mo nakasalalay ang kinabukasan mo," she added.
Young actress Francine Diaz also cast her votes early on election day. On her Instagram page, she stressed to the youth to choose the right leader for a better future.
"Kung ano man ang maging desisyon at gawin natin ngayon ay ang hinaharap ng kinabukasan. Tayong kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan, pumili tayo ng leader na may malasakit sa lahat ng pilipino, yung may pagmamahal sa bawat tao, hindi umaatras sa anumang laban, hindi sa una lang magaling, may pagmamahal sa bayan," she wrote.
Actress-singer Maris Racal also headed to the precinct early to cast her vote.
“6 am club! As a first time voter, grabe yung kaba ko. Shade properly and double check your receipts! Vote wisely. ✨,” she posted on her Instagram account.
Celebrity couple Chito Miranda and Neri Naig also shared their voting experience on Monday.
"Inactive yung voter's status ko sa online precinct finder, pero wala naman naging problema pagdating ko dito sa precinct namin...Nandun naman yung pangalan ko nung hinanap namin sa listahan nila sa computer. Good luck, and God bless, Philippines," Chito posted.
Jerald Napoles also shared his realizations about casting his vote on Monday.
"Anumang desisyon ay patungo sa kinabukasang ikaw ang may hawak. Sa pag-pili ng pagkain, damit, pag-ibig at pamahalaan. Aaminin ko na ngayon ko lang nakita ang halaga nang pagsusuri sa pagpili. Bukas ang loob mabasag ang kinaugalian at kinagisnan. Humayo tayong lahat at bumoto para sa pinipiling kinabukasan. May rason ang lahat nang ito. Mabuhay at magandang araw. Para sa inyo ang boto ko," he posted.
As shown in an Instagram post from his handler, Daniel Padilla also exercised his right to vote.
