Congratulatory messages poured in for Donita Rose after she announced her engagement on Monday, May 30 (PH Time). 

As seen in her latest Instagram post, the television host is now engaged to her boyfriend, gospel recording artist and emcee Felson Palad.

Among those who expressed their happiness and excitement for Donita included Ruffa Gutierrez, Gelli de Belen, Jaya, Vina Morales, Iza Calzado, Pops Fernandez, and Ruby Rodriguez.

It was only last April when Donita, who is now based in the US, first confirmed her relationship with Felson.

Felson is Donita's first known relationship since she separated from her ex-husband Eric Villarama in 2016. The former couple were married in 2003 and parted ways after 13 years of marriage. They share a son, Joshua Paul, who is now 17 years old. 

Earlier, Donita thanked all those who have expressed their support for her relationship with Felson, saying in an Instagram post, "I just want to thank everyone for their overwhelmingly touching messages... I do not live for the approval or the praises of man but I do find encouragement from the love we are receiving. Much love back at everyone."

She also addressed the negative comments she has received from netizens regarding her newfound romance. "Yes, they have been painful for me," she admitted. "But just know that @felsonpalad and I prayed blessings for them."

"Mind you, he has been unfazed and extremely amused, to say the least, about the negativity, and we are excited now, more than ever to proclaim God’s faithfulness and goodness in our lives,” she said.
