Last week, Kathryn Bernardo flew abroad along with good friend Alora Sasam. The House Arrest of Us co-stars enjoyed a few days together in the city of Bangkok, Thailand while Daniel Padilla was left in Manila to attend the Star Magic 30th All Star Games. The actor revealed that his flight to follow Kathryn to Bangkok was scheduled last Monday, May 23. The 2 Good 2 Be True star admitted the trip was not just a vacation but also to celebrate their decade-long relationship.
From Thailand’s capitol of Bangkok, the couple traveled to Chiang Mai, the largest city in Northern Thailand, which is just an hour’s flight away. On her Instagram account last May 25, Kathryn dedicated a sweet post to her longtime boyfriend while sharing photos of their time spent at an elephant sanctuary where visitors get the opportunity to feed, play, and even bathe baby elephants.
She wrote, “Celebrated our special day in the most unforgettable way possible and enjoyed every minute of it.
“You know how much this trip means to me and how much I looove elephants, so without a question, you agreed to do this again with me right away. All you said to me was ‘kahit san mo gusto love, susunod ako after ng trabaho ko.’
“Thank you for making time for this trip, my love! Thank you for always making sure I feel loved and appreciated. Looking back on our 10-year journey together, I find myself smiling with so much pride. Because we did it... We did it, love! True love exists. Someone like you still do exist.
I love you so much. Happy 10th anniversary to my person!”
The couple first worked together in 2011 when they were first paired together on the teen-oriented weekend show Growing Up. Because of their successful tandem, they starred again together the following year in the teleserye Princess and I along with Enrique Gil and Khalil Ramos.
The success of Kathniel also made its way into the box office with Star Cinema films like Must Be Love (2013), She’s Dating the Gangster (2014), Crazy Beautiful You 2015), Barcelona: A Love Untold (2016), Can't Help Falling In Love (2017), and The Hows Of Us (2018). The couple currently star in the primetime series 2 Good 2 Be True.
