Sylvia Sanchez, one of the country’s most admired award-winning actresses, met Golden Globes nominee and Squid Game lead actor Lee Jung-jae.
In an Instagram post shared by Sylvia herself, she can be seen posing for a photo with Jung-jae taken at the Cannes Film Festival.
“It was nice meeting you, Mr. Lee Jung-jae,” Sylvia wrote in the caption of her post.
Lee Jung-jae took on the role of Seung Gi-hun in the Netflix series which is considered one of the most successful series of the streaming giant in 2021. He is set to return to the show for a second season.
Meanwhile, Sylvia Sanchez is currently in France with Liza Diño, the chairperson of the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP).
Last May 17, Sylvia shared a video praising Liza for her efforts to promote Philippine cinema in the international scene.
Lee Jung-jae, on the other hand, debuted as a director for the 1980s-set spy thriller film Hunt at the said festival. Apparently, he himself developed the story and spent years working on it.
