Winwyn Marquez got candid about her postpartum struggles.

In an Instagram post, the beauty queen opened up about her journey after giving birth.

"39 weeks and 5 days ako pregnant and ibang klase ang journey but ngayon na Luna is with us.... ibang mundo na," she posted on May 15.

Winwyn admitted that she has been feeling emotional lately amid the pressure of being a new mother.

"2 weeks postpartum - There are times that I find myself fold under the pressure of it all and cry for days pero natutunan ko that I shouldn't be afraid to ask help because even if I think I can do everything alone and be a super mom (like I imagined while being pregnant) with my newborn - I can't yet," she said.

Winwyn also expressed her gratitude to her family and friends as she went through this new chapter of her life.

"Laking tulong may kausap na kaibigan and family, laking tulong na supportive ang partner....a simple hug and paalala na nandiyan siya malaking bagay na. Sabi nga nila it will be a little easier as days go by," she said.

The former Reina Hispanoamericana title holder also wrote words of encouragement to mothers who share the same experience as her.

"I know a lot of new moms na-experience din to sa unang stage and gusto ko kayo i-hug!! Hindi madali.. madaming questions and fears pero please remember you are not alone.. we can do this mama para kay baby kakayanin!" she stated.

Last May 7, Winwyn also shared her experience as a first time mom, one week after she gave birth.

"1 week postpartum checkup. My doctor checked my sutures dahil I was in a bit of pain (normal delivery ako) but nothing serious naman additional meds lang and hopefully mag heal na agad. Luna also got checked and healthy baby siya," she said.

The beauty queen-actress admitted that she felt exhausted. Nonetheless, she thanked her partner for taking care of her and their child.

"I'm tired, no proper sleep, boobs are sore from breastfeeding, my body hurts, yung sugat masakit, deadma sa itsura and adjusting uli sa madaming bagong bagay but Thank God for Luna's daddy kasi he has been taking care of me while I take care of our baby," she said.

Winwyn continued, "He makes sure maka nap ako kahit konti and siya gagawa ng need gawin from palit diapers, hugas ng mga pang pump and ibang bottles lalo na pag madaling araw, fixing our food, etc.. mini-make sure niya we have what we need lalo na sobrang nag aadjust ako sa lahat and nahihirapan ng konti..  kahit pagod kaming 2 makita lang namin si Luna na maayos, worth it lahat ng pagod!! ngiti at saya padin ang kapalit."

It was on May 1 when Winwyn announced that she gave birth to her daughter Luna Teresita Rayn.

On May 4, as she celebrated her birthday, Winwyn remarked that the arrival of her daughter has been the greatest gift of all.

"Things you are praying for will show up when you are most ready for them and happens in the most unexpected way.  God's timing is indeed everything.. HE gave me a love story better than I could ever dream of and an adorable baby girl to complete our little family. Thank you for coming into our lives Luna! having you and your dad in my life is the greatest gift of all," she wrote.

She added, "Thank you for the well wishes for my baby girl and sa lahat na nag greet ng happy birthday sa akin. Sending you all virtual hugs."

It was in December 2021 when Winwyn announced that she was pregnant with her first child with her non-showbiz partner.
