Award-winning singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran announced that he and his wife, Cherry Seaborn, are now parents to two daughters. Ed and Cherry welcomed their second daughter on Thursday, May 19. He posted on his Instagram account a photo of a pair of baby socks.
“Want to let you all know we’ve had another beautiful baby girl. We are both so in love with her, and over the moon to be a family of 4 x,” he wrote as his caption.
Fans of the singer were all over his post, congratulating him and his wife for having another daughter. Some of the fans were also shocked with the announcement as the couple hadn’t shared any news of Cherry’s pregnancy on social media. Nonetheless, most of the comments were nothing short of support for the family.
In August of 2020, the couple welcomed their first-born, Lyra Antarctica, and posted a similar photo––a pair of baby socks–– on Ed’s Instagram account.
The two were rumored to have started seeing each other back in 2015 and confirmed it later on. Deciding that a long-distance relationship wouldn’t work, Cherry came back to the UK in December of 2016 to live with Ed as she was still living in the US.
In 2018, the couple announced that they were engaged and a year later they held a private and intimate wedding ceremony that was later confirmed by Ed himself in a radio interview.
Ed rose to fame after entering the British charts with his debut single, “A Team,” which reached massive recognition worldwide. He is considered to be one of the most successful British musicians in the past decade. On May 20, he released two remixes of his song, “2 step”, where he collaborated with Potter Payper and Lil Baby.
