Two days after the Miss Universe Philippines coronation night, newly crowned Miss Universe Philippines Tourism Michelle Dee posted on her Instagram account how grateful she felt.

“This moment was probably one of the most intense in my life (so far) but at the end of it all, I’m filled with nothing but gratitude for the love, lessons, and endless support I’ve received. No effort will go unnoticed and I promise to come out stronger. ❤️‍🔥,” she wrote.

Prior to the coronation night, Michelle bagged six of the special awards in the preliminary competition and was dubbed as the hakot queen of the competition. She was named Miss Jojo Bragais, Miss Medical City, Miss SavePoint, Face of Essentials by Belo, Miss Cream Silk, and Miss Kumuniverse.

She assured everyone that there are no bad feelings between her and Miss Universe Philippines Celeste Cortesi. In the same post, Michelle mentioned how proud she is of Celeste.

“As @celeste_cortesi and I gave our all to win the crown, in the end we always knew only one of us would win. ✨ No one can take her destiny away from her because she is queen well-deserved and a true friend for that matter as well. Glad to have shared this moment with you just like we manifested,” she added.

Celeste commented on her post, “More than anything else, I’ve found a friend and couldn’t be happier to share this experience with you and Kat. You are amazing and truly a queen.”

The beauty queen also hinted that this may not be her final competition just yet. “Mahal ko kayo and who knows this might not be the last,” she wrote.

Michelle Dee is the daughter of Melanie Marquez, a former beauty queen herself who gave the Philippines the Miss International title back in 1979.
