TWICE’s Nayeon to debut as a solo artist

After seven years of making music and performing as a group, TWICE’s Nayeon is making her solo debut. Her agency, JYP Entertainment, announced on the group’s official social media accounts that the lead vocalist would be the first out of the nine to release a solo album.

Her self-titled album, Im Nayeon, is set to be released on June 24 at 1 pm KST, while pre-selling of her album starts as early as May 24 at 1 pm KST as well.

In a cryptic tweet posted on the group’s Twitter account, two dates were seen and one of the dates matched with Nayeon’s album release. Fans have been speculating whether the other date would be for a group comeback or another member would debut as a soloist.

Recently, all nine members of the group created their own personal accounts on Instagram. They’ve previously been using their group’s Instagram account to update their fans. As of this writing, all members have at least one million followers.

The girl group just finished a successful world tour titled, III, which they capped off with a two-day encore show at the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles, USA.
