Having been good friends and colleagues in showbiz for a while now, Ian Veneracion said that it was only natural that he would eventually end up being officially signed up under Ogie Alcasid’s talent management group A Team this year.

“I’m very excited because I’ve been working with A Team for the past years starting nung nag-produce si Ogie ng concert ko nun before and then marami kaming ginawang online shows during the pandemic.

“Super light ang arrangement namin. Our desire to work with each other is mutual and at one point if any of us hindi satisfied, we’re not bound to force it, yung ganun.

“Kasi nga it’s out of friendship. So pag ganun, very light tapos andun yung partnership dahil gusto namin pareho,” he said during his press conference last May 16.

Ian also explained the benefits of working closely with a manager who has always been supportive of his musical career.

“I see him as a friend. Actually si Ogie and I we never discuss work. We just talk about music and golf. All the time. That’s it. And then when it comes to stuff relating to work, I talk to the people of A Team.

“Also, kasi if you’re an artist and ang nag-ma-manage sa iyo artist din, you share the same perspective. You appreciate the concern for a certain quality, a certain taste. It’s such a liberating experience. Ang sarap,” he admitted.

With his focus on his musical career this year, Ian shared how his new management plans to support him.

“It’s a whole management team so there are many aspects of that. Merong contracts, merong marketing, merong endorsement deals, merong scheduling, tsaka logisitcs mismo.

So madaming aspects yung pino-provide ng A Team for artists and ang laking ginhawa lang na ang laking bulk ng mga decisions that I have to make and things that I have to think about, sila na yung namamahala. So napakalaking bagay sa artist yun.

“Pag ganun, mas makaka-concentrate ako sa gusto ko gawin like for example, concepts for concerts or movies, or concepts for anything. So ang laking tulong sa kahit kaninong artist na you can just hone your craft and see the possibilities creatively.

“Dapat naman kasi ganun as an artist eh. So I’m very grateful to have the support of A Team in all aspects of my career.

“Pagdating naman sa acting career ko, ako naman namimili ng projects na gusto ko gawin. A Team is just there for the support,” he explained.

After releasing his latest single “Ninuno” this month, Ian said he is looking forward to coming out with more creative projects for his singing career.

“Alam niyo naman I was a child star then movies then TV and then ngayon naman nag-ko-concert. Kung anu-ano kasi maisipan ko or kung ano lang minsan yung nandiyan nasa harap ko, hindi naman long-term plan talaga.

“Kasi sa totoo wala kang mapaplano eh, you just go with the flow and wherever it takes you. It just so happens na now yung music talaga yung passion ko and also ang sarap sarap na buma-biyahe sa ibang bansa.

“For example with my band, nag-States kami dati and we did concerts there. Then nag-Canada kami. Gusto kong ulitin yun,” he added.
