After being part of the family drama Viral Scandal, Maxene Magalona shared just how proud she is to be part of the project that highlights the importance of mental health.

“The show is timely, inspirational, and educational. Para din how to handle mga mental health issues. So more than anything, not just the acting but the message that we are trying to send and to get across, and as long as may matututunan sila.

“Kasi we are not just here to entertain anymore especially during the pandemic. We are here to share what we have been learning and parang killing two birds with one stone, you are getting entertained but you are also being educated.

“More than anything, we’re very grateful that we were all chosen for this project. We feel that it was meant to be,” she shared during the Viral Scandal finale mediacon.

Even though her role as the mayor’s wife Audrey Ramones in the series was a flawed and complicated character, Maxene said she appreciates all the good feedback she and her onscreen daughter Raven (played by Kaila Estrada) received during the show’s almost four month run.

“I’m very grateful to Audrey kasi she’s really perfect (laughs).

Ang natutunan ko sa kanya na when there are people na hindi okay for your mental health, you have to stay away muna. You have to keep your distance.

“And then when I came into this show, sobra akong grateful na they made me feel na I’m not alone. I love you all and I will miss all of you.

“I’m very, very grateful sa lahat ng feedback na nakukuha namin as Raven and Audrey. May isang comment talaga na nagustuhan ko where may isang person said na thank you daw for showing how Raven and Audrey are onscreen para daw she knows how to talk to her daughter in real life,” she shared.

Aside from thanking the cast, Maxene mentioned her onscreen husband and her daughter for the relationship she was able to form with them on and off screen.

“Sobrang grateful ako na nakasama ko si Kai kasi talagang grabe I was blown away by her kasi it was her first show and every time we had a scene together, wow her talent is just so raw and so natural and talagang nakaka-inspire.

“Personally, I was so, so happy that I got to do a lot of my scenes with Jake (Cuenca) and Kaila. Kasi talagang naging parang family kami.

“And Kaila and I are very grateful to Jake kasi he really guided us and gave us so many tips. Very generous talaga si Jake and sobra akong grateful ako sa kanya kasi madami akong natutunan sa kanya,” she admitted.

The Viral Scandal actress also thanked devoted followers of the show for help making it a success on TV and online until its finale week this month.

“Salamat sa mga tumutuok sa Viral Scandal since day one. We’re very, very honored and humbled to be able to deliver this message during this time.

“Hindi lang kayo yung may natutunan, kami rin dito sa cast marami rin kami talagang natutunan. Hindi naman naging madali yung pinagdaanan ni Audrey. Ang ganda talaga ng materyal that’s why sobra kaming happy na mainit na tinanggap ng mga tao at may natututunan kayo,” she said.

“Tingnan natin kung ano pang gagawin ni Audrey. So please, please tutok lang. I love you all perfectly,” Maxene added.
