Andie Eigenmann shared a life update in her recent vlog following her return to Siargao island with her family.
The actress relayed that her partner Philmar Alipayo is currently building his future surf school on the island.
"He's been dreaming of putting up a surf school and a surf shop and ngayon nag partner-up na siya with Mang Carding of Kanaway Surf School so they are going to reopen Kanaway together this time and prepare the shop in time for you guys this summer. So by Holy Week, you can book your surf lessons and surf guiding," Andi shared in her vlog.
Andi remarked that availing of the surf school's service will be a big help to the surfer instructors on the island.
"It will be obviously such great help to surf instructors here kasi 'yan ang source ng livelihood ng karamihan dito [ang] tourism," she said.
She also relayed that beside the surf school, she will be putting up a snack bar.
"And katabi naman ang Kanaway Surf School dito sa Katangnan is going to be... Kanaway Snack Bar so you can have your pre and post snacks and palamigs there at our snack bar opening very soon," she said
It was in the last week of March when Andie and her family returned to Siargao after being away from the island for three months following the onslaught of super typhoon Odette on the island last December.
"It feels so rewarding to finally get to surf as often as I've always wanted to! Just had to finish giving birth and going through the newborn stage 2x in the last 3 years. Definitely a favorite self-care activity of mine!" she posted on Instagram following their return to the island.
It was in 2017 when Andi decided to move to Siargao.
"I enjoy how my life turned out to be living on an island, meeting my partner now, and my family is slowly growing. I love the choices that I made but it doesn't mean that I hated my life before," she said about living in Siargao in an interview with GMA News back in 2020.
