Kaye Abad is not closing her doors on acting once again.
In an interview with Francine Diaz in a recent YouTube vlog, Kaye remarked that she is still planning to return to the limelight in the future.
"I never left, siguro nagpahinga lang because priority ko is mag-baby muna because I’m not getting any younger. So palakihin ko muna ‘yung mga bata then I will, for sure go back because nami-miss ko na rin talaga 'yung acting,” she stated.
But the actress stressed that it won't be happening soon as she still wants to focus on parenting as her second child is still a few months old.
“But if this time, around this time, maybe not yet because bata pa 'yung youngest ko. He's turning seven months pa lang, very baby pa. Maybe when he's around one but I’m not sure if I can do like a [teleserye], a full-time [teleserye] because that means I would have to stay in Manila for three to six months, so siguro [maybe] like guesting [only],” she said.
When asked what type of role she wants to pursue once she returns to acting, she relayed, "Lagi ko ‘tong sinasabi na gusto kong maging role, ‘yung maging pipi. That’s very challenging because kailangan mong ma-express ang gusto niyang sabihin without saying the lines—mata lang, facial expressions, ‘yun lang," she said.
The actress was also asked by Francine to share some acting tips. Kaye then recalled the time when she played a kontrabida role saying, "Nong naging kontrabida ako, medyo kinabahan talaga ako because they told me I really have to reinvent myself. Una because I have very maamo na mukha. I have very droopy eyes. So sabi ko paano ko gagawin na mukha akong nakakatakot? So inuna nila sa buhok, kinulot nila, then matapang na makeup but sabi ko paano ako sa serye? Kasi hindi naman ako pwede makapal na makeup because hindi naman ako mayaman sa serye so kailangan ko talaga i-aral the way I talk, the way I move."
She highlighted that artists should not be conscious on how they look on the screen. "Maraming artista ngayon na nahihiya o natatakot pumangit on screen but huwag ka ma-conscious kasi that will hold ng pagiging natural mo na actress."
Kaye is currently residing in Cebu with her family.
On what she loves about Cebu, she shared, "Very laid back, very simple ang lifestyle. Ang mga tao very simple kasi in Manila, I live in Cavite, sa Imus, so sanay ako sa buhay probinsya, sa simpleng buhay. Hindi ako magimik na tao because I don't drink."
Kaye is married to former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Paul Jake Castillo. They got married in December 2016. They now have two children named Joaquin who was born in December 2017 and Iñigo who was born in September 2021.
She starred in several acting projects when she was still active in show business.

She also became part of several movies which include Ang Tanging Ina, Kung Ikaw Ay Isang Panaginip, Mila, and The Bet, among others.
