Cherry Pie Picache is celebrating the birthday of her son Nio Tria, who turned 20 this Thursday, April 28.

On Instagram, Cherry Pie shared a video of herself surprising her son with a birthday cake and a card she bought many years ago and saved for him.

"Happy birthday anak @niotria!!!!! I bought and saved these cards 17, 18 years ago? When I was single. This was my favorite cardmakers, Blue Mountains Arts, and mostly by the poet Susan Polis Schutz. I really saved some up as I was looking forward to giving it to you when the apt time comes, like today," she said. 

In her post, the seasoned actress also shared her message and wish for her only son.

"Hold gratefulness in your heart for all the blessings that are but given, every single day. Small ones matter most, then you’ll be alright. The rest… haba na my love letter. I must have done something good to be blessed with you and I thank God for your gift of life all the time. Enjoy the drive of living!!! Adulting mode is on. I love you to the moon and back, and back again!!!" she said.

Cherry Pie and her son recently made headlines after getting matching moon phases tattoos on their backs.

Nio, 20, is Cherry's son with her former partner Gary Tria. Currently, the actress is in a relationship with TV host and actor Edu Manzano.

Last year, Nio, who is a tennis player, was launched by Star Magic as one of its newest talents, alongside the likes of Jimuel Pacquiao, the son of boxing champ Manny Pacquiao, and Alyanna Angeles, the niece of actress-philanthropist Angel Locsin.
