Laureen Uy has checked off an item from her bucket list after buying a beach lot in La Union.
The YouTuber shared that she has always been a big fan of the beach and remarked that she is at her happiest when she's near the sea.
"If you guys have been following me for a while now, you probably know that I love the beach. As in every chance I get when I have free time I try to go to the beach because sobrang peaceful ng aura ko, I feel very, very happy and content. Iba lang talaga 'yung mood ko when I'm at the beach. I really feel that I'm at my happiest when I am beside the beach," she said in her vlog posted on April 20.
Laureen then relayed that she and her brother Vince decided to buy a beach lot.
"We actually just got the lot, and I've been saving up for this my whole life," she said.
The vlogger shared that she was already saving up money back when she was still studying.
"Actually third year high school pa lang ako I was already working and saving up money. Nung nagcollege ako I had Style Break and I was also selling clothes online. and I asked my dad if I could open my ATM account para lahat ng savings ko don na malalagay. This was back in college. And even back then I knew already that I was saving up money but I didn’t knew kung para saan ba 'yun?" she said.
She said that it was only when she turned 30 when she finally figured out that her savings was actually meant for her to have a property by the beach.
"It was only when I turned 30 that I realized na ito pala yung pinag-iipunan ko, ito 'yung big dream ko together with my brother. And before lagi kong sinasabi na gusto ko ng beach house, ito na 'yung pinag-iipunan ko and I kept manifesting it but I didn't know exactly which area where I wanted to buy a beach lot. I just knew like iyon 'yung dream ko, magka-beach house," she stated.
Laureen relayed that she was really captivated by the vibe and the people in La Union.
"It was around late December 2020 and the whole of year 2021 when we really fell in love with La Union. There was something about the vibe here. 'Yung community also like I love the people here, 'yung sound ng dagat dito. Even 'yung sand nila it is so different. I basically fell in love with this province," she said.
She added, "And so early 2021 my brother and I decided that we want to buy a lot here. Gusto talaga namin na meron talaga kaming future home dito."
Laureen said that purchasing their beach lot was a long process.
"It took us one whole year before we were able to find the perfect location with the right price and 'yung seller also ng lot sobrang bait din. Mahabang process siya pero here we are now," she stated.
Laureen shared that recently, she finally signed the title of the beach lot.
"After Christmas right before New Year's, my brother and I were able to sign the contract na so yes and just last week I got na the title of the house na nakapangalan na sa amin," she stated.
