When actress and beauty queen Kylie Verzosa broke down during a segment on the April 19 episode of It’s Showtime which dealt with the topic of breakups, this incident further fanned the rumors that she and boyfriend Jake Cuenca had already broken up. Two days before the emotional outburst, the Miss International 2016 title holder had tweeted the sole word “Broken” on her Twitter account with no further explanation.
Although both are still keeping mum on the issue, Jake posted a series of cryptic posts on his Instagram Stories the following day with quotes like "I will try to fix you," "Whatever someone you become, wherever you are in the world, I’m sending you love,” and “I wish I could wipe away your tears."
During the recent presscon for Kylie’s new film Ikaw Lang Ang Mahal with Zanjoe Marudo, Kylie immediately started off the event by addressing a request to the local press to avoid asking her about her personal matters.
“Kung okay lang sana, huwag na lang tanungin ngayon. Pero, gusto ko lang i-focus yung movie ngayon. Pero sana po huwag niyo na lang tanungin,” she said in an emotional voice.
When asked about the state of her heart at the moment, the 30-year-old stunner gave a short but meaningful answer, “It’s getting better every day.”
Kylie did not forget to thank the press again before leaving the event after being granted her simple request. “Gusto ko lang magpasalamat sa lahat ng respeto na binibigay niyo sa akin sa panahon ngayon. I’m just grateful for everything,” she said.
Kylie and Viral Scandal actor Jake Cuenca first revealed they were dating in 2019 after working together on the 2018 teleserye Los Bastardos. They celebrated their third anniversary as a couple just last December.
