Currently in the country after being invited as a guest speaker at this year’s World Travel and Tourism Global Summit held at Resorts World Manila, Pia Wurtzbach’s boyfriend Jeremy Jauncey shared his thoughts on the country which he now considers his second home in an interview with TV Patrol reporter Marion Dumaual last April 21.

“The Philippines has a special place in my heart. You guys are amazing to me. Obviously, with Pia and with all the business that we’re doing here I’m very happy to be back. It’s a huge honor. To be honest, I feel so strongly that travel is a force of good in the world. I really believe that when people get out and travel, they can have a positive impact on each other’s lives.”

Before dating Pia, Jeremy, who is the CEO and founder of the travel company Beautiful Destinations, admitted he had not yet discovered the beauty of the Philippines.

“I didn’t know a huge amount about Filipino culture until I actually arrived when I came here. I met Filipinos, I got to experience hospitality, I realized how amazing the country was, and that is the power of travel. So I hope I can inspire more people to get out into the world and do it too. The country is blessed with so many natural resources, kind hospitable people, and everyone knows Filipinos are incredibly friendly, and very, very warm. It’s the ingredients that you need for a good and successful tourism product. Philippines has it all,” he shared.

During his interview with TV Patrol at the World Travel and Tourism Global Summit, Jeremy immediately laughed off rumors that he and Pia had gotten secretly engaged and were already planning to get married in the country.

“I cannot comment on that I’m afraid (laughs). She is an amazing woman. She really is very, very special person, the pride of the Philippines, an amazing partner, and I’ve been very, very lucky  to spend all the time I have being with her,” he admitted.

Pia and Jeremy first made their relationship public in 2020 almost a year after they started dating. The couple met in 2019 when Pia was vacationing with her family in London.
