Barbie Imperial clarified that she and Diego Loyzaga did not get back together.

The online world went abuzz recently after the playful exchange of comments between her and ex-boyfriend Diego Loyzaga on social media. The speculations about them getting back together stemmed from the said online interaction.

In an interview in Magandang Buhay, Barbie clarified, "Okay po kasi kami.

She also shared that prior to that social media interaction, they already talked personally.

"Actually po before pa nong exchange ng comments na 'yun nakapagusap naman po kami nong bumalik siya galing States," she said.

In the same interview, Barbie also opened up about the heartbreak she felt at the early stages of their breakup.

The Kapamilya star relayed that not rushing to move on helped her heal as well.

So patience lang talaga na everyday sasabihin mo sa sarili mo na magiging okay din," she said.

She added that her mom, Marilyn Imperial, also became instrumental in healing her heart.

The actress remarked that her mother's words of advice also helped a lot for her to move on.

Months after she broke up with Diego, Barbie highlighted that she is in a happy state right now.

Finally, finally after three months ng breakup namin. I am okay na, happy," she said.

It was in February when Barbie confirmed her split from Diego. In an exclusive report by ABS-CBN News, the actress said that they ended their relationship on good terms.

Meanwhile, during the media conference of her show The Goodbye Girl in February, Barbie shared the lessons she learned about love.

“I’m the kind of person na kahit medyo nauubos na ako, bigay pa rin ako nang bigay ng love sa ibang tao. So finally, natutunan ko na baka kaya paulit-ulit nangyayari sa’kin ‘to kasi hindi ko talaga minamahal ang sarili ko. It’s like all the same [story for] each boyfriend. So for me, what if ibahin ko ngayon?
