Catriona Gray got the opportunity to entertain questions about beauty and wellness, as well as her personal endeavors, during the virtual media conference for her latest endorsement, vitamin brand Myra E, on Tuesday, April 5.
When it comes to self-care especially during challenging times, Catriona advised to “please don’t ever put it off.”
“I know sometimes that self-care or allocating time for yourself seems like a bit of a luxury but all of us are required to do something whether it be our job or to care give or look after someone, our family members, our friends. We have many roles that each of us fulfill in everyday life and from personal experience, it’s really difficult to continue pouring out to other people when your own cup is empty,” she said.
The 28-year-old beauty queen stressed the importance of taking care of one’s self, “So please take that time, make that intentional effort to really look after yourself, whatever that looks like for you, whatever is achievable for you and your everyday life because it’s an investment that we should all be making. Because at the end of the day, we have one body so we might as well look after [it]. We have one mind, we might as well look after it. We have one spirituality, we might as well look after it. So please take that time, whatever it may look like for you, but just give yourself what you need.”
Meanwhile, the Miss Universe 2018 titleholder, who was video chatting from Australia, shared her current endeavors. “I just came from Singapore to reveal lang ‘yung wax figure ko sa Madame Tussauds so if ever anyone visiting in Singapore, go Lava walk with my twin or baka soon she’ll be visiting Manila rin, fingers crossed.”
She went on, “Pero dumating pa lang ako rito sa Australia to visit ‘yung family ko. Since the pandemic, it’s not often I get to spend time with them pero ako na isang person that’s very family-oriented, only child pa ako so it’s really important to me to find time for them, and so I’m just here, visiting, spending time with my loved ones. Pero babalik na naman ako sa Manila very soon and ang daming projects coming up so I’m very excited for that. But thank you guys for supporting me and I really do appreciate it.”
Likewise, Catriona was also asked about her plans for the Holy Week. The beauty queen took the chance to share that her father is now on the path to recovery. It will be remembered that just recently, Catriona updated her Instagram followers about the condition of her father who was hospitalized.
She answered, “Very quiet plans actually. Baka nandito lang kami sa home because my dad is hopefully going to get out of the hospital this week so next week, I’m sure resting pa rin siya, recovering pa rin so we might just have a very simple family day where we’ll bond over either lunch or dinner. Something very simple lang. Just being thankful, giving thanks for the gift of family, and for the gift of being safe and healthy and altogether.”
