Rose Van Ginkel on being a reluctant sexy star: ‘Ang gusto ko talaga mapansin yung acting skills ko’

<p>After starting out in showbiz as part of the all-female group Pop Girls in 2009, actress Rose Van Ginkel shared how she has adjusted from working in a group to becoming a solo artist as one of Vivamax’s most popular stars.</p><p>“Kasi before kapag lumalabas ako on TV or on stage, minsan may mga panahon ako na parang hindi ako okay. Na parang kunyari pagod ako or wala ako sa mood, parang okay lang kasi alam mo na meron kang kasama na nandiyan para sa ‘yo. Hindi kasi katulad ngayon na parang ngayon na kailangan ko maging ready kasi mag-isa na ako ngayon. Kailangan prepared ako palagi once na nakikita ako ng mga tao. Unlike before na okay lang na kahit may mga days na hindi ako okay kasi nandiyan naman sila. For sure okay pa din yung performance dahil nandiyan yung ka-grupo mo. So teamwork talaga hindi katulad ngayon na solo na. Pero if kasama siya sa movie then nakikita ko naman na kailangan talaga siya then gagawin ko siya. May limit kasi ako eh. For example bago ko gawin yung mga eksena na sensitive talaga, lagi kong sinsasabi sa director na gusto ko ganitong level lang. Ayoko na yung point ng shot na yun is para ipakita yung katawan ko. Mahiyain kasi ako and introvert akong tao so napag-aaralan ko na huwag na lang siyang pansinin. Parang kung lalakad ako, dun lang ako titingin. Napapansin din ng mga friends ko. Pero sa akin kasi deadma na lang, bahala na. Parang ang hirap naman kasi na habang naglalakad ka titingin ka kung tumitingin ba sila sa akin.
