Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz will be wearing a Francis Libiran gown on her wedding day.

"Love is Golden. The World Champion deserves only the gold standard in fashion design on her special day!" said a post on Francis Libiran's Instagram page.

A snapshot of the designer alongside Hidilyn and her fiancé Julius Narajo was posted on the page.

"#FrancisLibiran is beaming with pride to be chosen by 2020 Tokyo Olympics Gold Medalist #HidilynDiaz (@hidilyndiaz) and fiancé Julius Narajo (@imjulius) as the official designer for their much-awaited wedding," the caption said.

It was in October 2021 when the couple got engaged.

"It was a magical moment with [Julius]. I’m grateful to God that He sent Julius into my life, he makes my life easy," Hidilyn posted on social media upon announcing their engagement last year.

She added, "Alam ng iba kung ano mga sinasakripisyo niya para maabot namin ang pangarap na Ginto sa Olympics together with #TeamHD, nun laro kinilig at masaya ako kasi siya mismo nagsabi God is the center of our relationship, kaya walang duda magye-YES ako dahil swerte ako may isang Julius nagmamahal, nagintindi, at sumoporta sa’kin."

In an interview with Philippine Daily Inquirer in the same month following their engagement, Hidilyn shared that they are planning to tie the knot in the City of Pines.

"We're planning a simple private wedding in Mount Costa in Baguio. The place doesn't really matter as long as God is there and our loved ones," she said.

For their honeymoon, Hidilyn shared that they want to travel to Europe.

"I want our honeymoon to be in Europe, or any place where we will be away from it all and have time for both of us to plan the future," the Olympic medalist relayed.

Hidilyn made history as the first Filipino to bag a gold medal at the Olympics after winning the women's 55kg weightlifting competition at Tokyo 2020.
