Having been in showbiz for more than half of her life now, former child actress Andrea Brillantes has grown into a talented artist who has starred in many projects onscreen. As she turns 19 this month, Andrea said that her numerous roles through the years have helped her mature and grow as an actress by giving her lessons in life on and off screen.

“I think what helped me grow as an actress is sa bawat character na ipo-portray meron akong natutunan sa mismong character na yun.

After the successful reception of ABS-CBN’s first partnership with iQiYi on the series Saying Goodbye, Andrea shared how it was playing the role of Elise.

Eh maiyakin akong tao, yun yung mahirap dun (laughs),” she admitted.

Andrea also shared what she has in common with her role and what viewers can learn about love in Saying Goodbye.

“I think parehas kami na palaban. Kasi very strong personality si Elise eh. Mas marami kaming pinagkaiba actually ni Elise so konti lang yung in common namin. Ang maituturo ko sa kanila about sa love is umamin ka na (laughs). Huwag kang magpadala sa takot mo. Sabihin mo na yung totoong nararamdaman niyo. Kasi minsan mas magandang sabihin mo na before it’s too late. Kasi you’ll never know kung kelan ka mag-gu-goodbye,” she added.
