Pia Wurtzbach has added another brand to her growing portfolio as an entrepreneur.

The Miss Universe 2015 announced on social media that she has launched a food venture called Pia's Kitchen: World Cuisine.

"So excited to share this with you! After months of preparation, meetings & food tastings… I’m finally launching my own food business," she said in an Instagram post.

According to the beauty queen, the business is "an ode to my love of food and travel."

"First stop: Japan! 🇯🇵 Our food menu will also be traveling so it will change throughout the year… surprise muna kung saan ko kayo dadalhin next!" she shared.

The Japanese food offerings will be available via a food delivery app.

"Let’s go on a culinary adventure via the Grab App. Tara, kain na tayo. Swipe left and let me know which food you like best…tag me! 😍 @piasworldkitchen," she relayed.

In 2019, Pia also launched a milk tea business with her friends Pauleen Luna and Chef Nina Almoro.

"It’s always a little nerve wracking trying something new like opening a business. But @ninaalmoro, @pauleenlunasotto and I were so excited and hands-on with this one. It’s really nice to see our menu boards up a few days before our soft opening... and to just have it all come together. Hope this inspires you to try something new and to just go for it! We all learn new things along the way," she posted back in 2019 about her milk tea business.

In 2021, the beauty queen revealed that she was studying entrepreneurship.

"Nag-aaral ako sa Open University sa UP (University of the Philippines) ng entrepreneurship. Pero non-formal course kasi high school lang ako eh," she revealed during her guesting in BJ Pascual's vlog.

She added that she wants to broaden her knowledge on entrepreneurship hence she enrolled in the course.

"I also manage my career. I'm very hands-on with the direction I want to go and the projects I want to do, so in a way napa-practice ko naman 'yung entrepreneurship sa sarili ko. Pero I know that I really have to gain more knowledge if I want to make my own brand or my own product one day," Pia said.

"'Yun 'yung goal ko, gusto kong magkaroon ng sarili kong something na I can say that I made and that I own, and that I am now sharing to the world," she added.

Pia remarked that she is aware that being a beauty queen and an actress will not last forever, hence she wants to venture into entrepreneurship to secure her future.

"Gusto ko 'yung maging secure ako sa buhay ko kahit hindi na ako artista or beauty queen. Kasi tatanda rin ako, one day mag-iiba na focus ko, pamilya na, ganyan. I need to create something that will last, that won't require me being in front of the camera all the time. Being realistic lang naman, di ba? Gusto kong fallback 'yung business," she stated.

Pia is the third Filipina to win a Miss Universe crown. She won the pageant in 2015. After her reign as Miss Universe, the beauty queen has been part of movies and television shows on the Kapamilya network.

She is currently starring in the comedy show titled My Papa Pi alongside Piolo Pascual and Pepe Herrera.
