It’s hard to believe that it’s already been 18 years since Hero Angeles won the title of first "Grand Teen Questor" in ABS-CBN's 2004 reality star search competition Star Circle Quest which helped launch his showbiz career along with his fellow batchmates Sandara Park, Joross Gamboa, Roxanne Guinoo, and Melissa Ricks. This year, Hero returns to doing heavy drama in the April 2 episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya. During the MMK mediacon, Hero revealed how the show became a pivotal part of his career early on in showbiz.

“Actually marami ng pinagbago. 2004 kasi ako sumali sa SCQ and then after nun isa sa mga unang projects ko after SCQ is MMK talaga. And then kapag nabibigyan ako ng projects, TV shows, movies, nadadagdagan siya.

With his last episode of MMK back in 2019 along with co-stars Sylvia Sanchez and Arjo Atayde, Hero said there is a lot that viewers can look forward to with his new episode where he plays the eldest brother of Marlo Mortel and Sky Quizon. Raised by their grandmother, the three brothers strive to do their best to create a better life for their lola by finding work abroad.
