After finishing taping for the new season of He’s Into Her, Donny Pangilinan said he is proud of the work his love team partner Belle Mariano put into their series.
“Season 2 is not that far from from season 1 in terms of the span na mga two weeks, three weeks lang. Pero makikita mo yung difference of how we approach the scenes and how we approach our characters. We always try to give a different take and a lot of times I saw that with Belle. So sobrang cool lang na nakikita ko yun and na-witness ko yun sa kanya bilang actress and bilang performer and everything. Siyempre nakita natin yung pinakita niya sa season 1 na sobrang galing. Ang dami niyang things na tumatak talaga sa lahat ng audience. What’s interesting though is inspite all of that, kaya niya pa rin ibahin yung atake niya even if it’s the same character. Makikita mo yung maturity. Makikita mo yung hindi usually makikita kay Max pero si Max pa rin,” he shared during the He’s Into Her Grand Assembly event.
Donny shared what he values most about his leading lady and how he appreciates her many good traits.
“There are so many things. I guess maybe just her eagerness to grow, to get better, to always improve in her craft and everything she does, her support, and just how she is as a person. Siguro nag-bi-build up yun, from the first time we met na never pa kami nag-uusap and hindi kami nagku-kuwentuhan offcam. Pero ngayon ang saya lang mag-play ng Deib and Max despite how many hard times they will go through, it was still fun portraying it kasi it was her who I portrayed it with,” he said.
If the trailer of He’s Into Her Season 2 is any basis, Donny said his onscreen chemistry with Belle also echoes their growing closeness offscreen.
“Sobrang supportive ni Max kay Deib sa lahat ng gusto niyang mangyari and ganun din si Belle sa akin. At saka ganun din ako sa kanya sobra. I think the most important thing about the both of us is just how supportive we are of each other and helping each other learn and grow and never to settle with what we have. Kunyari nabigay namin ito sa scene, hindi lang hanggang dun. And direk (Chad Vidanes) is a big part of that. He always pushes us. And we all push each other. We just keep going. Sa trailer kung nakita niyo yung rain scene na yun, kailangan talaga yung yakap at kailangan talaga yung comfort ng each other and I think we give that to each other,” he explained.

Even when the cameras aren’t rolling, Donny shyly admitted he and Belle continue the “kilig” that Donbelle fans live for because of their sincere intentions of wanting each other to be happier.
“Parang ang weird na sinasabi namin yung ginagawa namin. Parang ang awkward. I think mas importante yung hindi nakikita ng mga tao like offcam kasi behind the scenes itong cast na ‘to, it goes more than the characters. Every time na nag-ku-cut nagku-kuwenthan pa rin kami and we talk about each other’s lives. Even the stuff we’re going through. So just being open to listening to each other, I think that’s the biggest act of service we can have. Just being there for each other despite everything. Because we all know how hard it is to be in a lock-in, to be away from everything, and to be going through emotions as well and different problems outside of the lock-in,” he added.
