After being known for doing sexy roles in Vivamax Original films like Taya and Palitan, actress Jela Cuenca said that she is game to try any role given to her as long as it is within her accepted limits.

“Siguro tatanggapin ko naman lahat ng ibibiigay sa akin na role and kaya ko naman siguro basta hindi lang yung sobra, yung wala na akong naitago sa sarili ko. Kasi siyempre kailangan ko din konting may para sa sarili ko. Hindi ko kaya yung all out talaga pero lahat naman ng ibibigay sa akin na project is kaya ko naman huwag lang yung sobra,” she said.

As part of the cast of the sexy comedy Boy Bastos, Jela shared how she related to her character as the nerdy girlfriend of lead star Wilbert Ross.

“Yung character ko dito is santo-santuhan pero patay na patay ako sa character ni Wilbert and every time na nakikita ko siya is parang sabik na sabik parang uhaw na uhaw. But in real life hindi naman ako ganun. Naka-relate lang ako dun sa may scene kasi dun na nahuli ko na sila na may ginagawang something and then na-turn off na ako sa kanya. Binigyan ko sila ng bad sign sa kamay and sobrang nakakatawa yung part na yun and na-relate ko lang dun yung sarili ko kasi pag ganun kasi lumalabas talaga ako, parang ganun. Dun lang ako relate (laughs),” she admitted.

Counting Jowable as her favorite sex comedy film of all time, Jela shared that she would also love to get the opportunity try other film genres like action and horror in the future.

“Gusto ko maka-work si Viva si Ms. Maui (Taylor) kasi nag lakas ng vibe niya and feel ko gusto ko siya makilala and maka-work of course. Gusto ko try yung action movies and horror. Pero kahit ano namang ibabato sa akin kaya ko naman at gagawin ko,” she said.

Contrary to her sexy image onscreen, Jela said she was more on the conservative side while growing up.

“Nung high school ako yung mga friends ko nanunuod sila sa cellphone and then may one time na lunch break and pagsilip ko kasi nagkukumpulan sila and akala ko movie ang pinapanuod nila, yun pala porn site. Ako kasi pag nanunuod ako ng ganun, I think I’m not open-minded. Kasi ayoko siya panuorin,” she recalled.

Jela also shared how she deals with disrespectful fans online. “Pag may nambabastos as social media ko, better to block ko na lang sila para at least hindi na hahaba and wala na rin akong mari-receive na galing sa kanila,” she added.
