Cherry Pie Picache shared the story behind her tattoo session with her son Nio Tria.

In her latest YouTube vlog, Cherry Pie relayed that both of them got tattoos at the same time. She remarked that it was something that they thoroughly discussed before having the tattoos done.

"I would like to tell everyone before we did this, this was a responsible decision between me and Nio. Pinag-usapan namin 'to ng mabuti. I really had to make him justify," she said.

Both the actress and her son got moon phases tattoos.

Nio explained, "Nauso kasi 'yung mga phases of the moon kung kailan ka pinanganak. Pinapakita ‘yun online or sa NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) then sinearch ko ‘yung moon phase kung kailan ipinanganak si mama. May 27, 1970, 'yung moon phase na 'yun, iyon 'yung image na kinuha ko kasi ‘yung meaning kasi non palagi namin sinasabi 'I love you to the moon and back.’”

Meanwhile, Cherry Pie shared that she always wanted to have a tattoo.

"Ako naman I'm 51. My bucket list tayo eh. I've always wanted to have a tattoo pero natatakot ako lalo nong nagka-anak ako kasi di ba sabi nila 'pag nagpa-tattoo ka hindi ka na pwedeng mag-donate ng blood. So that's what I was really scared of. I had to read up all about tattoos, and putting tattoos. So pwede ka pala mag-donate ng blood after one year," she said.

After learning that, Cherry Pie decided to get a tattoo. "So sabi ko mag-52 na ako this May, might as well na sabayan ko na siya. Sabi niya, 'Anong ipapa-tattoo mo?' Sabi ko, 'O sige 'yung moon naman when you were born.'"

The actress then shared a reminder to the viewers about respecting their parents’ decision if they also ask to get a tattoo.

"But guys I'm just saying sa mga magulang at sa mga kabataan na nanood ngayon different strokes for different folks. May kanya-kanya kayong rules sa bahay niyo, may kanya-kanyang pagdi-disiplina ang mga magulang niyo so respetuhan. Maybe not now, maybe in time and if you show them na responsible ka naman sa mga desisyon na gagawin niyo katulad ng pagta-tattoo then ayon, maybe eventually," she stated.

“Pero huwag niyong ico-compare, ‘Naku bakit sila?’ Iba-iba tayo ng rules sa bawat tahanan natin so we have to understand, we have to acknowledge and respect ‘yung mga magulang natin kung ano man ‘yung rules nila sa bahay natin,” she added.

By the end of the vlog, Cherry Pie highlighted that honesty has been the most vital ingredient in building a better relationship between herself and her son.

"Now as a mother, honesty for me is the very most important, if not it is the most important thing for me. At the end of the day I will appreciate honesty, kahit ikagalit ko, ikasama ko ng loob, basta maging honest ka lang and everything eventually mapaga-uusapan. Kasi kung honest kayo sa isa't isa, walang hindrance for a very good [relationship] and to make your relationship better as a mother, as a child or children. Sa amin mother and son. So laging honest lang."

Nio is Cherry Pie's son with her former partner Gary Tria.

The actress is currently in a relationship with Edu Manzano.
