For her 26th birthday this year, Kathryn Bernardo started off by sharing with her more than 16M followers on Instagram how she is practicing self-love and growing into the woman she wants to be.
She wrote, “As I turn 26, I celebrate everything that made me who I am today. I celebrate my body, which I’ve learned to fully embrace in my journey to self-love. I celebrate the people who helped me grow—those who love me and continue to make life worth living, and those who don't but continue to make me stronger and more resilient. I celebrate courage, being vulnerable, and the choice to stand up no matter what life throws at me. I celebrate joy, finding happiness in the simplest things, and laughing at the silliest jokes. I celebrate the challenges and struggles that ultimately shaped me to become a better person. And lastly, I celebrate my voice, being able to stand up for the things i believe in and speak up for myself unfiltered.
“I celebrate who I was, who I am, and who I will be years from now. I'm still a looong way from becoming the person I want to be, but I want to thank you (yes, you!) for being with me every step of the way. Cheers to another chapter together! 🍾🥂 I hope we continue to make this world a better place to live in.”
The kapamilya actress, who is currently at an island resort in El Nido, Palawan, chose to celebrate her birthday weekend with some of her closest friends in showbiz which include fellow March celebrators Ria Atayde and Alora Sasam, celebrity hairstylist John Valle, Joshua Garcia, and Daniel Padilla. John shared short video clips of the birthday girl enjoying the beach as well as DJ bringing out cake for Kathryn during her birthday dinner.
Alora, who first became close with Kathryn when they worked together on The House Arrest of Us in 2020, dedicated a post for Kathryn whom she shares a birthdate with. She wrote, “Ah eh maluha-luha ako habang sinusulat ito dahil may birthday blues na ako sa birthday mo mismo. At may nagpa-shot na kasi sa akin🙄 First time to celebrate our birthdays together. Di ko inexpect ganito kasaya. Paano na lang sa next? Hahanap-hanapin ko ‘to. But like we told each other nung nagdinner tayo sa bgc, tatrabahuin natin ang friendship na ito. Life will never be perfect pero we will be each other’s safe zone. Same tayong hirap mag express ng feelings pero sasabihin mo sa akin di ba pag nasaktan kita? And vice versa? Happy birthday Mami!👑 Thank you for being you. Thank you for letting me be ME. Gihigugma kita dzaiii💚”
