It’s been a bittersweet month for Brenda Mage who celebrates his 10th year of working in showbiz this year. After starting out as an extra on the set to working his way up as a character actor on television, his most recent stint in Pinoy Big Brother: Kumunity made him one of the most talked about celebrity housemates this season.
Last March 20, PBB’s “Fun-Along Comedian ng Cagayan De Oro” surprised fans when he announced his decision to quit showbiz and move back to his hometown in Mindanao. Brenda shared it along with a photo of himself at the airport waiting to board his flight last Sunday.

Upon his arrival in Cagayan de Oro, Brenda shared a short video clip explaining more about his decision to relocate back to the province. “Bakit ako nag-quit ng showbiz? To live my simple life here in Mindanao,” he happily shared. The 33-year-old PBB alumni also brought his two dogs Chuchay and Mumay from Manila with him. The comedian enjoyed swimming at the beach with his pets the day after his arrival.
During his stay inside the PBB house, Brenda became a controversial figure in the reality competition when netizens became outraged by some of his comments about his fellow housemates including Alexa Ilacad, Eian Rances, and Chie Filomeno. Upon leaving the house, Brenda asked for forgiveness online through his social media account for his negative statements during the show.
