Business Proposal stars Ahn Hyo-seop and Kim Se-jeong got to work together for the first time on an acting project through the series.

In an interview with SBS Power FM’s Choi Hwa Jung’s Power Time prior to the launch of the series, the two stars talked about their first impressions of each other when they worked for the first time on the romantic comedy show.

\"I actually heard a lot of rumors about Se-jeong that she has a nice personality, that she has a really good personality. Sure enough, as soon as we met each other, she greeted me with such a cheerful face that I thought we could quickly get close with each other,\" Hyo-seop said in the interview.

Meanwhile, Se-jeong confessed that she thought that it would take time before they would get close since she heard Hyo-seop is a shy person but they actually became close fast.

\"I've heard that he gets really shy easily so I thought it's going to take some time for us to be on friendly terms. But we actually got closer a lot faster than I thought. He opened his heart easily too, so we could get closer a lot easier,\" she stated.

Hyo-seop starred in several heavy dramas prior to working on Business Proposal. On what made him say “yes” to to the romantic comedy series, he relayed, \"My past works were kind of heavy and my emotions were affected. When reading the [Business Proposal] script I did not think any further, the script was really enjoyable so I thought I should do this for the well-being of my mental health. The script was really fun.\"

Hyo-seop was all praises for Se-jeong's performance in the series.

\"It's a role where she needs to do a lot of things, but she pulled it off so nicely. There aren't a lot of things that I needed to do,\" the actor remarked.

Se-jeong also commended Hyo-seop as her co-star, saying that the actor's energy is one of the biggest factors why their scenes are great.

\"The thing is, my energy comes from other people. It's not something that comes out from me. It's how much I get from the outside. Because Hyo-seop gives a lot of good energy and translates it well into acting, this kind of energy comes out of me as well,\" she said.

In the same interview, the two stars promised that they will perform a duet if the show hits more than a 10 percent rating in South Korea.

\"If we could hit a rating of 10%, with a very grateful heart, since our drama’s OST lineup is really good, [we will pick] one song, I will change the lyrics to an answer version, and oppa (Hyo-seop) will sing the original version. We will sing it together,\" Se-jeong said.

The show, which is currently airing on SBS in South Korea, hit the 10.1 percent nationwide rating with its sixth episode and it seems that the two stars will finally be performing their duet soon.

Business Proposal follows the story of Kang Tae-mu (Hyo-seop), a CEO of a food company who offers Shin Ha-ri (Se-jeong) a proposal to pretend to be his girlfriend whom he will be marrying. The show is based on a webtoon with the same title.

Aside from SBS, the series is currently streaming on Netflix.

Prior to Business Proposal, Hyo-seop starred in hit dramas like Still 17, Abyss, Dr. Romantic, and Lovers of the Red Sky.

Meanwhile, Se-jeong starred in the series like The Sound of Your Heart, School 2017, I Wanna Hear Your Song, and The Uncanny Counter.
