After her successful performance at the Expo 2020 Dubai last March 12 with The Gigi Vibes band, lead singer Gigi De Lana revealed on social media that she had lost her phone during the event. In her post last March 16, the 26-year-old singer shared more details about what happened with her followers.
On her official Facebook page she wrote, “Okay po ulitin ko post ko. dami kasi nag cocomment na parang mas alam nila nangyari. Nawala phone ko. and di binalik. I tried to locate my iPhone through find my iPhone [app]. and wala dinala na talaga. and nagpahelp na din ako dito sa Dubai. Don't worry naka mark as lost phone so di niya din mabuksan yun.”
Gigi also addressed those netizens who accused her of posting about her stolen phone in order to solicit a replacement from fans. The talented singer clarified that buying a new phone is not on top of her list of priorities when it comes to immediate expenses.
Gigi and her band are currently in the Middle East on their first international tour called “The Gigi Vibes Domination Middle East Tour” which started in Dubai and will continue with succeeding two-hour shows on March 18 at the National Theatre of Abu Dhabi and March 25 at the Crowne Plaza Bahrain.
After their virtual concert last December, Gigi and her band Gigi Vibes performed in front of a live audience during their first on-ground concert event Gigi De Lana and The Gigi Vibes: Domination at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Resorts World Manila in Pasay City last March 5. The concert was also considered to be ABS-CBN Events’ first concert with a live audience since the start of the pandemic in 2020.
