Joining the stellar cast of iWantTFC’s upcoming new series The Goodbye Girl, actress Elisse Joson stars in the “Legally Blind” episode as Julia, a hopeful bride-to-be who knows that her fiancé Ean (played by Joshua Colet) is a womanizer but she convinces herself that he is only making the most out of his remaining days as a bachelor. Julia puts up with her fiancé’s behavior when he promises her to stop having affairs with other women after they get married.
In real life, Elisse said she can relate to her latest role onscreen. “I think lahat naman tayo may pagdadaanang ganun at some point. To a certain extent siguro. Personally, meron din akong pinagdaanang ganun. Hindi ko na alam kung may confirmation or what but kahit ganun, you’ll grow out of it. You’ll grow out of the fact na meron kang time na bulag talaga sa pag-ibig. Honestly I went through that. Ayoko ng i-share pa or magkuwento na masyado,” she shared during The Goodbye Girl mediacon.
Off camera, as girlfriend to McCoy De Leon and mom to their 10-month-old daughter Felize, Elisse said she could not be more contented with her life right now. The 26-years-old actress said she and McCoy are not pressured to get married anytime soon because they are already confident in their future together.
“You know hindi natin dapat minamadali ang mga bagay bagay and everybody has a different timeline. Ngayon nga it just so happens na nauna si Felize. So I think we have so much things to deal with first. Baptism ni Felize inaayos pa lang ngayon because of the pandemic and the situation. Birthday pa niya. We’re going to get there and alam naman namin na we’re for each other already so we just have to take our time and it’s going to happen,” she admitted.
During The Goodbye Girl mediacon, Elisse revealed what her dream wedding would look like with McCoy.
“I feel like iniisip ng iba I want something bongga, malaking wedding. Actually no. I just want a simple wedding. Ang dream ko lang talaga sa may dagat. Pero at the same time I want to be blessed at the church,” she added.
