Veteran actor, comedian, and host Vic Sotto was in high spirits when he virtually met with the press during his latest event endorsement for the dietary supplement and coffee brand BossMax3 on Monday, February 21.

Sharing his secrets to maintaining a young and healthy lifestyle, Bossing Vic, as he is often referred to, said that the pandemic made many people more aware and conscious of their health, including him.

“Siguro ‘yung isa sa mga nakakatulong sa akin being healthy, as I’ve said, [‘yung] right food, right food supplements and vitamins... At siguro ‘yung pananaw mo sa buhay. ‘Yun ang pinakaimportante para sa akin bukod dun sa mga supplements and all that. ‘Yung mental health natin napaka-importante, para sunud-sunod na pati physical health natin ay magiging okay,” he said.

Vic reiterated that one’s outlook in life as the key to aging gracefully. “Kung may problem ka, ‘wag mong problemahin. Madali naman ‘yun eh. ‘Wag mong problemahin ang problema. Hayaan mo siya. Magkakaroon ng solusyon ‘yan. ‘Pag hindi nagkaroon ng solusyon eh bahala siya sa buhay niya kung ayaw niyang makahanap ng solusyon. Kasi iyan ang isa sa mga malakas maka-i-stress sa’tin eh. ‘Yung sinasabi nating mga problema na minsan, nag-o-overreact lang naman tayo. Hindi naman gano’n kabigat ‘yung problema, pinabibigat natin.

“Although kung may mabigat talagang problema, sabi nga, lahat ng problema may solusyon. Hindi tayo bibigyan ng problema ng Panginoon na hindi natin kayang ayusin. Kung hindi natin kaya, hingi tayo ng tulong sa Kanya. That’s one tip na maibibigay ko [on] how to grow old gracefully. Tapos ‘yung being thankful for all the blessings. For everything. The good, the bad. Hindi naman lahat ng mangyayari sa buhay natin ay mabuti. May mga hindi rin maganda pero dapat thankful pa rin tayo sa lahat ng bagay. Maging thankful tayo sa Panginoon, thankful tayo sa ating family at sa ating mga kaibigan.”
