Isang paalala ang iniwan ni 2018 Miss Universe Catriona Gray sa maraming pageant fans sa tila out of line comments ng netizens sa social media.

Sa pamamagitan ng live stream sa Miss Universe YouTube channel, idinaan ng fourth Filipina Miss Universe ang panawagan kasunod nang pagbibigay tribute niya sa namayapang Miss USA na si Cheslie Kryst.

"If you're a fan of pageantry, please know the difference and the boundary between feedback and outright bashing,” bahagi ng pahayag ng Pinay Miss Universe. 

Patuloy niya; "Derogatory terms, harsh critiques, and unkind words are better left unsaid.”

Bilang isang Miss Universe at former candidate, aminado si Catriona na minsan na rin niya naranasan ang tila sumosobrang comments ng netizens na nakaka-apekto sa mental health ng isang kandidata.

Matatandaan na naging puntirya ng netizens at pageant fans ang fourth Filipina Miss Universe dahil sa kaniyang pabago-bagong pangangatawan noong siya ay nagsisimula sa mundo ng pageantry.

“There are two different sides of pageantry, there's either the really positive side. I feel empowered, I feel confident, I feel like I have a voice, I have a platform. And then there's the other side where I feel pressured, I've been the subject of bullying, shaming, I've been pulled down. I just think it's a really sad thing that it's so polarizing in that way.”
