Jake Cuenca took to social media to share his grief over the death of a person close to his heart: his grandmother.

In an Instagram post, Jake said the past three weeks have been difficult for him as he faced the reality that his beloved Lola Elvie is longer with his family.

“The past 3 weeks have been a very difficult time for my family. It’s was very hard to set this aside for 3 weeks because I was on location shooting but today it finally sank in,” he wrote in the caption of his post.

While it’s been particularly hard for him, Jake said part of him feels relieved knowing she’s now in a “better place.”

“My beloved Lola Elvie is not with us anymore although I know you’re in a better place now and I know you are happy in heaven with Tio Manoling,” he remarked.

“it’s still so hard to fathom that you’re not with us anymore. I love you Lola Elvie we miss you. Rest In Peace. I will hold on to every memory we have together. I miss you already,” he added.

Meanwhile, Jake shared a message for those who still have their loved ones with them — saying it’s better to express how much they love them while they are still around than when they are already gone.

“If you have a chance to tell your loved ones that you love them take it, say it, and mean it never be afraid to express love because we never know what tomorrow has in store,” he said.
