Actress Bettina Carlos revealed on Tuesday, February 1, that she suffered a miscarriage.
On her Instagram page, Bettina posted a photo of a positive pregnancy test and an ultrasound image of her late baby.
"We were pregnant and then no more," she wrote in the caption.
The actress also shared her message to all mothers who, like her, have experienced losing their child "before they could even hold them, feel them, and see them."
"May you too find peace in this: God’s purposes for the lives of our unborn children were fully fulfilled however long or short they were IN us. Their lives did not go to waste," she said.
"And in the same way, YOU, if you are still breathing, that means God’s purpose for you is not yet fulfilled-hence your very life and every breath," she added.
Ending her post, Bettina thanked the Lord for the happiness and hope her pregnancy brought her " even for a very short while."
"Lord, You were so gracious in giving to us and You are still good even in taking away. Thank you for the fresh hope and new joy You gave us even for a very short while. Thank you for the assurance that one day, in heaven, we will see and be with our child. Thank you for what You give when You take away. What we gain from this loss," she said.
Bettina, 34, is married to Mikki Eduardo.
The couple tied the knot in a Christian wedding ceremony held in Tagaytay in December 2020, amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Bettina already has a daughter, Amanda Lucia, from a previous relationship.
