Belle Mariano proud to be acting and singing this year: ‘I’m happy where my career is headed’

After performing in her first digital concert Daylight last month, Belle Mariano said she still has big dreams for her singing career, including being able to perform in a concert with a live audience at a major venue.“The whole concert experience really was a rollercoaster. There were ups and downs. But for me kasi, never kong hindi nakita yung light. If I don’t seek for the light, parang it means na hindi ako passionate sa ginagawa ko. Hindi ko love yung ginagawa ko. So I always try to seek for the light even if its a really low moment. Dream ko mag-perform sa Araneta Coliseum oh my gosh gusto ko ma-try. Kasi yung problem with me is that every time I write songs, lagi akong kalahati lang yung natatapos kasi hindi ko na natatapos. Hopefully, sana makapagsulat ako ng song. Who knows malay mo magkaroon ulit ng album. As in sobra talaga. I listen to her songs. Siya talaga yung pag napapakinggan yung boses ang soothing. Local gusto ko maka-collab si ate Moira. Of course never mawawala si Sarah Geronimo. Grabe talaga, as in one time I saw her performing sa ASAP ang galing. Si Ms. Regine (Velasquez) Sobrang idol ko siya. Grabe nakakakilabot and of course Ben&Ben. Sa international naman, si Beyonce siguro (laughs). Eh kasi siya yung kinakanta ko sa videoke eh. But I feel that the artist that would really define my journey is Olivia Rodrigo. She started di ba sa High School Musical and now she’s taking on concerts and tours. Ang ganda lang, parang gusto ko rin. Even with a busy acting career and love team projects with Donny Pangilinan, Belle explained why she wants to focus on her acting and singing career equally.“Well both have challenges. Both have pros and cons. But I’m really happy sa love team ko ngayon. I’m happy where my career is headed to so I wouldn’t change anything. Just having that sense of fulfillment after, na parang you just once dreamed of this and now its all happening. Parang ang sarap lang sa feeling na natutupad mo na yung mga pangarap mo,” she added.
