Rebel Wilson announced that she recently welcomed her first child via surrogate.
The actress made the announcement on her Instagram page on Tuesday, November 8 (PH time).
"Beyond proud to announce the birth of my first child, Royce Lillian, born this past week via surrogate," she posted.
Rebel described her newborn as a miracle.
"I can’t even describe the love I have for her, she’s a beautiful miracle! I am forever grateful to everyone who has been involved, (you know who you are)," she remarked.
The actress also penned a heartwarming message for her surrogate saying, "This has been years in the making…but particularly wanted to thank my gorgeous surrogate who carried her and birthed her with such grace and care. Thank you for helping me start my own family, it’s an amazing gift. The BEST gift!!"
The Pitch Perfect star expressed her elation about being a mom. "I am ready to give little Roycie all the love imaginable. I am learning quickly... much respect to all the Mums out there! Proud to be in your club," she stated.
Celebrity friends and fans of Rebel were quick to extend their congratulatory messages on social media.
"Aunt Britt is soooo excited to meet the newest Bella. I love you SO much Rebs," Brittany Snow commented.
"Royce! Auntie Chrissie loves you so much already. I can’t wait [to] go to Disneyland with this little princess!" Chrissie Fit wrote.
In an interview with PEOPLE back in May, Rebel shared that she decided to embark on a "year of health" back in 2020 because she wanted to become a mom.
Her doctor told her that there would be a higher chance for her to have her eggs harvested and frozen if she shed off weight.
"I was taken aback. I thought, 'Oh God, this guy's so rude.' He was right. I was carrying around a lot of excess weight. It's almost like I didn't think of my own needs. I thought of a future child's needs that really inspired me to get healthier," she said.
Rebel is currently in a relationship with fashion and jewelry designer Ramona Agruma.
They went public about their relationship back in June.
"I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince … but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess #loveislove," Rebel posted on social media in June.
