“Today, I am not an artist, actor, or celebrity. I am just simply me, an Army Reservist. Volunteering in case of calamities, like repacking relief goods for typhoon-stricken victims, is what a Reservist signed up for and what I love doing because it is fulfilling, nothing can match that feeling,” he wrote.

The OPM singer acknowledged that his efforts alone are small but because of the collective effort of the other volunteers, they are making a huge difference. In the video Ronnie shared on his Instagram, he can be seen with his fellow reservists packing relief goods.

“To all typhoon victims, I will pray for you and I will repack for you. To my fellow Reservists, kasama ninyo ako sa pagtulong, sa pagbuhat ng mga karton at sa pag-repack ng mga delata at bigas. Sama sama po tayo, sa hirap at ginhawa,” he added.

Their mission was to repack 25,000 family food packs for the victims of the typhoon. Netizens have lauded the effort of the singer and were amazed by his sincerity in serving the country.

Last August, Ronnie just completed his Master’s degree in Management, Major in National Security and Administration at the Philippine Christian University in Manila. Aside from being a singer and reservist, Ronnie is also a licensed pilot.
