An official from BigHit Entertainment told the Korea Herald about the solo venture of the leader of the group.

“RM is in the final stages of preparing for his solo musical project, and we kindly ask for your understanding that we can’t further elaborate on the exact release date,” the source said.

”RM is planning to release a solo album,” another source told YTN Star

Meanwhile, RM will also co-host tvN’s upcoming television program The Dictionary of Useless Human Knowledge.

The news comes weeks after the K-Pop group announced their military enlistment plans. The oldest member, Jin, is expected to be the first to enter the military.

In June, BTS said it would take a break from doing activities as a group.

But this isn’t RM’s first solo venture. In 2015, he released a self-titled mixtape. Three years later, in 2018, he dropped another mixtape called Mono.

RM debuted as part of BTS in 2013.
