K-Pop sensation BTS is set to collaborate with American rapper and songwriter Pharrell Williams. This was announced at the exclusive interview of Pharrell and BTS’s leader, RM, in the American magazine Rolling Stone.
The two bonded over their music journey in the video.
Towards the end of the video, the American singer announced the release of his latest album and revealed that he has collaborated with the South Korean boy group on one of its tracks.
“Well, my project, it’s called… it’s [under] my name, and the title of the album is ‘Phfriends.’ It's volume one. You guys [BTS] are on there, obviously. And I’m actually talking about this way more than I’m supposed to, but it’s a song from my album that [BTS] sang and it’s amazing, and I’m super grateful,” Pharrell said.
RM shared how much he loved collaborating with Pharrell. The main rapper of BTS added that he personally loves the song they worked on together.
Meanwhile, they also revealed that RM’s album was already 90-percent finished during the time of their filming. Pharrell hinted that he wants to be part of the South Korean rapper’s next album.
RM is set to be the next BTS member to release a solo album right after J-Hope and Jin. The South Korean boy group is currently focusing on their individual activities and will come back as one after their mandatory military enlistment.
