Megastar Sharon Cuneta shared on her Instagram how she is thinking about retiring from the showbiz industry. The 56-year-old singer-actress shared how tired she is from working for decades already.
She was reading a book from American author Joanna Gaines and reflected on herself.
Sharon shared an excerpt from the book which showed a reflection on one’s life and reconsidering “always running at high capacity” at a certain age. The 56-year-old Megastar added how it hit too close to home for her.
“This is from Joanna Gaines’s new book, ‘The Stories We Tell.’ This part really resonated with me because, well, I am 56 now—and I am just undeniably EXHAUSTED. Retirement is calling,” she wrote.
The singer-actress quipped that while she is ready to retire, she won’t completely go away from the showbiz industry. Sharon added that she just wants more time for her hobbies and her family.
“Once in a while, I can pop up in a movie or two, a concert, or a TV show, even a season or a series if it’s not too tiring. But I AM tired…All I wish I could do is be with my family and take care of them. And do all those other things I always wish I could do but just couldn’t find the time for,” she added.
“Exactly what I want at 54. Thing is, I can't yet because [the] kids are both still in school,” fellow actress Arlene Mulach commented on the Megastar’s post.
Netizens have shared their opinions in the comment section of the post. Some of the comments shared the same sentiments with the singer and added that they will support her decisions in the future no matter what.
