While a formidable actress in the roles that she plays onscreen, The Iron Heart cast member Dimples Romana remains a doting mother to her children.
She takes pride in the achievements of her eldest, Callie, who is abroad pursuing her dream of becoming a pilot.
Dimples isn’t afraid to wear her heart on her sleeve, often penning heartfelt messages to and about her children on social media. In a caption she posted recently on her Instagram account, Dimples shared about the lessons she has learned from her sons, Alonzo and Elio.
“Giving birth to kuya #AlonzoRomeoJose 7 years ago taught me to enjoy dance, make TikToks, and groove every morning to fast music,” Dimples shared.
While her middle child kept her on her feet and made her find joy in exuberantly celebrating each day, her youngest is teaching her the value of quiet moments.
Dimples gave birth to baby Elio last June. While she didn’t expect to add to their family, having baby Elio was a welcome surprise. From the get go, Dimples felt at peace that their family was ready for their newest member.
“I feel content in my heart,” she declared.
It seems that baby Elio is indeed reminding his mom to keep calm.
“This other son of mine is teaching me to slow down,” Dimples admitted.
Dimples gave a sneak peek into one of her and baby E’s mother-son bonding moments.
“My daily pocket dates with #ElioJuanManolo include classic songs, soft music, and lots and lots of singing,” she shared.
In her shared reel, Dimples can be seen singing the classic song “Someone To Watch Over Me” to baby Elio, who was wide-eyed and attentive the whole time. Elio can be seen cooing along happily, as he enjoyed his solo time with his mom.
“Notice how he’s also trying to sing the words with me,” the proud mommy pointed out. “Duet eh.”
“Saka inlab na inlab sakin yaaaan hihi,” she added.
In a previous post, she shared that spending time with baby E centers her. It seems Dimples is as head over heels in love with Elio as he is with her.
“And in between the tapings, brand shoots, digital content work, emails, work and home stuff, there’s this time I spend with E,” Dimples said. “My voice seems to soothe him while little did he know his smile soothes me more… Oh the magic of motherhood.”
In tune or not, what matters is the moments mother and son spend together.
“New song, new tune. Deadma naman sya sa sintunado ako,” Dimples shares. “And importante, in life, we sing through the good days and the bad.”
