Marina Summers on latest song: ‘We’re here to take over the world’

Drag Race Philippines season 1 contestant Marina Summers shared the inspiration behind her latest single, “Divine”, during her launch last November 6. We really want to trailblaze that path for the community and divine parang ang concept niya is we want people to worship drag. We want people to worship drag queens and that's the essence of it,” she shared.Marina shared that she had full control of her music when she was discussing this with Tarsier Records. The drag queen added that she felt thankful that she was given the opportunity to handle everything. “They let me steer the wheel on where I want to take my music and they let me take full control, all the creative process, everything. She shared that because of the show, people are talking about drag and LGBTQ+ community.“The level of respect of people towards drag is even better now and we love to see that grow even more as the years progress. We’ve been able to spark conversations also about the queer community, about drag community, and SOGIE,” she revealed.Auditions for the second season of Drag Race Philippines have already started. Marina wished the future contestants good luck on their journey.“I’m very excited to see more local talents in the next season of the franchise,” she said.
