Celebrity couple Saab Magalona and Jim Bacarro opened up about how they deal with the unpleasant comments they receive from netizens over their son who has a medical condition called cerebral palsy.

The Centers for Disease and Control and Prevention (CDC) defines Cerebral palsy (CP) as “a group of disorders that affect a person's ability to move and maintain balance and posture.”

Both Jim and Saab shared what their family must go through with the unnecessary remarks.

The couple admitted it can be shocking for them each time people share how they view Pancho.

“We thought we were prepared for this. That we would take it as a chance to educate people to choose a better way of saying things. But in reality, it’s way too shocking to actually respond at the moment so we just clam up,” the two wrote.

For Saab and Jim, their eldest son is their pride and joy. Though people might see him as dependent on his parents, Jim and Saab revealed it’s the other way around for them.

“Being parents of a special needs child can be challenging, but it’s also a privilege and honor with rewards beyond our wildest dreams. Since it was #worldcerebralpalsyday yesterday (exactly when one of these instances happened), we’d like to remind everyone that families with special needs members do not need your pity,” they added.

Jim and Saab broke their silence in the hope to educate other people and prevent them from giving unpleasant remarks in the future. The couple asked their followers to give kind words and support for people with speacial needs instead of feeling pity for them.

“Love to all Cerebral Palsy warriors and their armies💕 Fight lang tayo,” they ended.

Jim and Saab have been married since 2015. Aside from Pancho, the couple has another son, Vito, who was born in September 2019.

They also had a daughter, Pancho’s twin named Luna, who passed away back in 2018.
