After winning first-runner up to Khimo Gumatay in the second season of Idol Philippines this year, singer Ryssi Avila shared that she is thankful to the show for changing her life for the better. The 21-year-old performer from Bacoor, Cavite said her life was very different before the show.

“Bago ako mag Idol PH breadwinner ako, raketera talaga ako. Ayun yung ginagawa ko before ako sumali,” she said.

Ryssi said she learned a lot during her stint on the show and considered it an unforgettable blessing.

Overall sobrang grateful ng journey ko and thankful talaga ako kasi it’s a wonderful journey talaga. It’s a big blessing for me,” she admitted.

When asked how much her life has changed since making it to the finals, Ryssi said she was happy to be able to redeem herself this year.
