Anne Curtis surprised many netizens on September 29 when she debuted her short hair on social media.
In a recent episode of It's Showtime, Anne revealed the reason she decided to cut her hair short.
"Na-feel ko lang magpa-short hair bigla for a change in life. Okay ba madlang people?" she said.
Anne also shared that her new look is inspired by a French character.
"Actually ang isa sa mga inspiration ko si Amelie, isa siyang French character," she relayed. Amelie is a 2001 French romantic comedy which starred Audrey Tatou in the titular role.
Anne's fellow hosts were all praises for her new look.
Kim Chiu commented, "Parang bumata si ate Anne ng 15 years."
Meanwhile, Jhong Hilario said that Anne's new hairstyle resembles the look of the character named Tokyo in the hit Netflix series Money Heist.
Fans online also gushed over Anne's new look.
"Ang ganda talaga ni Anne look alike ni Natalie Portman, kahit ano style na suot at buhok, lahat bagay sa kanya," one netizen commented.
"Amelie is such a great film! Amelie's haircut looks great on Anne Curtis!" another netizen posted.
Anne got her hair done at the Korean salon Zero 1 Story.
The last time Anne cut her hair short was in 2016 when she was filming BuyBust.
It has been four months since Anne returned to It's Showtime.
The actress-host returned to the spotlight this year after taking a two-year break from show business to be a full-time mom.
She also staged a live concert last June.
"I promised my Showtime family that I would be back so I'm staying true to my word that I would come back," she said in an interview with ABS-CBN News in May.
"I'm so happy that my Showtime family they are so supportive. Lalo na kasi 'yung banter, ang tagal ko nang hindi na nagawa 'yun so inaalalayan naman nila ako," Anne added.
