After finally going public earlier this month about her split from husband Robbie Mananquil, actress Maxene Magalona continues to heal and share her learnings and lessons with her followers online. “Whether you’re single, taken, married, divorced or widowed—it doesn’t really matter. Your relationship status doesn’t define you. Neither does your job title, the amount of money you have in the bank or the number of followers you have on Instagram

“With or without any of these worldly things, you are already worthy, perfect and whole. This is how God created you—in His image and likeness. Do you think God makes mistakes? He never does. Which is why you being here is not an accident. You have a purpose in this world and it is not just to go to school, get married, have kids and work for money until you die.

“You are here to thrive, flourish and become your most authentic and BEST self! The one who is kind, fearless, full of energy and love.

“So please, don’t just exist. LIVE. Live your truth unapologetically. Find out who you truly are underneath the surface by connecting to your soul. Once you find out who you really are minus all the labels and stories, you will discover your purpose.

“Don’t let your ego trick you into thinking that you need to fight for your right to be loved and accepted because darling, you are the most beautiful thing to ever exist in this world. You are a miracle. Don’t let anything or anyone tell you otherwise.

“Cheers to all my fellow single souls + divorcees out there. This happy battle is for you ”

In another post, the 35-year-old actress advocated spreading love and kindness without expecting anything in return. She wrote, “Small and simple ways to contribute good energy to the Universe:

1. Look people in the eye and smile at them. Especially when you come across some of our kind helpers and workers. It would really brighten their day.

2. Pick up trash when you see it and put it in the garbage bin.

3. Donate to a charitable organization without letting anyone know.

4. Let pedestrians pass when they’re crossing the street instead of driving even faster just to get ahead of them.

5. Allow other cars to cut you off in traffic without getting angry. Let them pass and then let it go.

6. Actively listen to a friend who is sharing something important with you. Listen to understand and not just to respond. Sometimes, all our loved ones need is someone who will sincerely listen.

7. Pray for everyone in your life—especially the ones who need it most. Pray for ALL beings. It’s a beautiful and sacred way of sending good energy to them.

8. Be kind to our animal friends. Pet them and shower them with appreciation. They need love, too.

9. Say sorry to someone that you may have unconsciously hurt or offended. This will bring both of you peace (Thanks for the idea, @_slickrick!)

10. Meditate on good and positive thoughts daily. Visualize peace, love and harmony for all beings.

11. Always do the right thing. The right thing doesn’t always feel good but it will always, always be worth it.”
