“Philippines, Thank you for letting me represent our beautiful country. I hope I made you all proud,” she wrote.

Despite her powerful performance during the Finals night, Roberta was unable to take home the crown. She shared that she fought well enough and was happy to represent the country in the prestigious competition.

“I’m doing great because I know I did my best. It’s just a matter of time, you know? God knows what’s best for me and kung ano ang para sa akin in the future,” she said in the live.

Netizens have applauded the beauty queen for doing well in Miss Grand International. Some have been pushing Roberta to join Miss Universe Philippines as they saw potential in the beauty queen.

Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray shared her thoughts in the comment section of Titas of Pageantry on Instagram. Catriona was very vocal about how deserving Roberta was of the crown.

“Haaay… She deserved so much better, performed sooo well. I’m so proud,” Catriona commented.

The Philippines has yet to snag a crown from the Thailand-based beauty pageant. The closest the country ever got to winning the crown was when Nicole Cordoves and Samantha Bernardo placed first runner-up back in 2016 and 2019, respectively.
