Earlier this month, actor and director Jeffrey Hidalgo flew to the US to spend time with family and join the Chicago Marathon last October 9. After the race, he flew to New York City where his film Lampas Langit (Beyond Heaven) was one of the official film entries to this year’s International Film Festival Manhattan. This was the same festival where Gerald Anderson’s younger brother Ken Anderson also took home the award for Best Short Film for his OFW film Okay Lng Ako.
Lampas Langit (Beyond Heaven) is a film about an author (played by Baron Geisler) whose marriage is on the rocks. Then one day he meets his literary idol (Ricky Davao) who also happens to be his neighbor. He soon begins to have an affair with his neighbor's seductive daughter. But when their secret is finally discovered, more revelations begin to unravel.

After winning the award, Jeffrey shared the good news on his Instagram account. he wrote, “Best Director Feature Film Award at the International Film Festival Manhattan 2022. I am still in awe. Thank you Lord! I dedicate this award to everyone involved in our film Lampas Langit (‘Beyond Heaven’). I couldn’t have done this without you guys. ”
